ENGINE BAY DETAIL

Engine Block Pressure Testing

Disconnect battery.

Ensure complete closure of all fluid fillers, dipstick handles, electrical leads etc.

Using air pressure and detail brush, blow/sweep engine and bay free of loose dirt and road grime.

Working top - down, from underside of hood and over complete engine compartment, apply degreaser cleaning agent.

Agitate surfaces with heavy coverage using brushes and detail tools, adding more cleaning

agent if necessary.

Allow cleaning agent to dwell on surfaces.

Working top-down, shower engine compartment with low pressure water, eliminating all grime and cleaning agent.

Using air pressure & towels, dry & wipe surfaces clean.

If possible and necessary, use a Dremel wire brush to polish exposed corroded aluminum surfaces. 

Use air pressure to sweep away aluminum dust.

Apply dressing and use paint pen if necessary to rejuvenate worn lettering.

Re-attach battery and reset clock if necessary.
